HELP FOR YOU

You Are Not Alone – Help Is Available

Are you a boy or young man aged 13–29 and wondering if something in your relationship doesn’t feel right? Maybe you’ve experienced violence, fear, constant arguments, or simply feel that being together doesn’t feel good. You are not alone.

It’s common to find it difficult to recognize experiences of violence, especially if you don’t have much experience with relationships. However, feelings of shame or uncertainty shouldn’t stop you from seeking help. You can reach out even if you’re not sure whether there is violence in your relationship.

Our service is low-threshold, confidential, and free of charge. We are not authorities and do not have an obligation to make official reports.

Dating violence is common. According to recent studies and surveys (University of Tampere, 2023; Federation of Mother and Child Homes and Shelters survey, 2019), nearly every other young person experiences violence in their dating relationships. Alongside girls and women, boys and young men are also victims of violence.
Dating violence can take many forms, such as uncontrollable arguments, name-calling, pushing, location tracking, constant messaging, or jealousy. In a violent relationship, name-calling or hitting can gradually become part of everyday life.

Who Is This Service For?

Our professional support service is intended for:

  • Boys and young men (aged 13–29) who have experienced or suspect dating violence

  • Those who are reflecting on their own relationship

  • Those who are concerned about a friend’s or partner’s situation

Violence is always harmful and can lead to repeated patterns of dating violence in the future. Many young people find it difficult to talk about dating violence, and many don’t know where to turn for help. Silence can be almost as damaging as the violence itself.

That’s why it’s important not to try to cope alone, but to have the courage to seek help. If there are problems in your relationship, contact us — we can discuss your situation confidentially and think together about possible solutions.
